Each seminar has been scheduled over a period of 7-14 days in conjunction with a Caribbean, Panama Canal, New England/Canada, Europe, Asia, Classical Mediterranean, Scandinavia/Russia, Alaska, British Isles/ Norwegian Fjords, or Hawaiian cruise, allowing for a relaxed exploration of important subjects in each of the above clinical areas. These programs have been sponsored by The School of Medicine, State University of New York at Stony Brook, and have been approved for 18 or 24 category 1 continuing medical education AMA/PRA credits. The seminars have also been approved for 18 or 24 prescribed hours by the American Academy of Family Physicians. In addition, the medico legal seminars have been approved for 18 or 24 hours of continuing legal, nursing, and dental education.
